Structural Issues

06/17/2021

Mainly just the corners of the corrals are broken.

06/25/2021

Corral 3 was serverly damaged in the windstrom and corral 5 is also broken.

06/29/2021

The struts ripped the skirts. Rip in Corral 2 skirt is about 3 feet long. Rip in Corral 5 skirt is from the surface.

The stitching that connects the tarps to the floats is unraveling in all corrals.

We tried to repair the tears with extra strong waterproof tape. We tried 4in and 8in flex tape, as well as a gorilla waterproof patch and duct tape. Despite scrubbing and drying the floats and tarps, the corrals were too wet for the tape to solve the problem.

07/16/2021

Windstorm damages corrals, especially corral 4.

07/21/2021

Brakets failing to hold floats in place.

Reinforcement bars on corrals 3 and 5 snapped at the joints. Some are still attached, others sank.

Most of the skirt is diconnected from the floats. All reinforcement bars are gone.

Time Lapse

Everytime we did a sampling trip, we took a picture with a drone of all the corrals. This was for the year 2021.

Here are the drone images of the corrals in 2022.
