After some structural issues with the limnocorrals they were redesigned to be more structurally stable. This stability was achieved by removing the center floats and struts. This made the limnocorrals less rigid and more flexible, allowing them to withstand the natural wind and wave forces. In these new corrals you can see a color difference between the water in and out of the corral, demonstrating how well the limnocorrals worked.
With the new structual design, the corrals in 2022 did not fall apart and were much more effective at isolating lake water. Ten corrals were constructed and 5 were put in a shallow part of the lake and 5 were put in a deep part of the lake.
